Brow Lamination

Brow lamination your way.

Eyebrow lamination is a two-step brow perming treatment that involves adjusting the brow shape by setting the hairs in place.

  1. In the first step, a cream is applied that breaks down bonds in the eyebrow hairs so they can be manipulated into a new position.
  2. Then, another cream is applied to rebuild these bonds and set the brows in their new uniform position.

Our Cerologists® will personalize the treatment to your brow needs — whether you want a dramatic, brushed-up look or simply a subtle lift.

How to prepare for your Eyebrow lamination.

SKIP THE SKIN EXFOLIATION

Avoid using exfoliants or retinoids on your face for 1–2 weeks before your eyebrow lamination service.

COME FRESH-FACED

Make sure those beautiful brows are free of makeup in preparation for your brow lamination service.

PUT THE TWEEZERS DOWN

Avoid tweezing, waxing, or any other hair removal method at least a week before your appointment. Hair removal can make the area around the brows more prone to irritation. A brow wax service may be added after a brow lamination.

WHAT TO AVOID

For the first 24 hours, you should treat your eyebrows with care. Avoid:

  • Getting them wet
  • Steam baths or saunas
  • Oil-based face products

After 24 hours, you can treat your fuller, more defined brows as you normally would. The best part: From the moment you wake up, you’ll feel instantly put together and ready to take on the world.

Brow lamination FAQ

Whether your brows are naturally full or could use a little boost, brow lamination can enhance their shape and give them a fuller, more defined look.

The brow lamination process takes less than an hour. Come in during your lunch break!

Eyebrow lamination generally lasts 6 weeks, and — with proper care — as long as 8 weeks. Your Cerologist will provide aftercare advice to help you maintain your fresh brows.

The brow lamination process is safe if done by a trained and certified professional. Your Cerologist will ask relevant questions and undertake the relevant patch test policy (if applicable) to ensure the treatment and products are suitable for you.

Eyebrow lamination is a semi-permanent procedure that involves straightening and lifting the brow hairs to create a fuller and more defined look. On the other hand, eyebrow tinting* is a process of coloring the eyebrow hairs to fill in and darken them.

Yes! Brow tinting is part of our brow lamination service. Combining these services enhances the appearance of the eyebrows even further, adding depth, definition, and color. Or, you can opt to skip the brow tint — it’s all up to your preference!

Yes, eyebrows will return to their natural shape and position after about 6–8 weeks.

No, the process of laminating brows should not be painful if done correctly by a professional. Some people with sensitive skin may feel a slight tingle during the process, but if you experience stronger itching or stinging, you should let your Cerologist know right away.

Brow lamination aftercare is important in maintaining the treatment. For the first 12–24 hours after your eyebrow lamination service, we recommend you avoid:

  • Exposing your brows to water — like in a shower, bath, or pool
  • Steam baths or saunas
  • Using oil-based products like makeup, makeup remover, or moisturizer

When you do shower, try to avoid directing high-pressure water directly onto your brows. Following these tips allows the tint to fully set, ensuring lasting results. After 24 hours, you can return to your normal routine, though gentle handling and minimal rubbing will help extend the life of your tint.

While brow lamination can be a great option for many individuals, it can cause issues for people with certain health concerns:

  • If you have recently had an allergic reaction to any beauty treatments
  • If you have extremely sensitive skin or open wounds around your eyebrows

If you have just had microblading or other eyebrow tattooing done, you’ll want to wait at least 4 weeks before getting brow lamination.

The eyebrow lamination service starts at $75. Prices and services vary by location, so let’s find the Waxing the City location nearest you.
